Privacy Policy
This policy explains how DevGud Technologies ("DevGud", "we", "us") handles personal data on devgud.com and in our apps: BookVanity, MeraSociety and any future app that links to this page. Each app also has its own privacy policy, which describes exactly what that app collects. If the app policy and this page differ, the app policy applies to that app.
1. Who we are
DevGud Technologies is an MSME registered in India (Udyam UDYAM-CG-14-0149473). For your data, we are the "Data Fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2. What we collect
- Website: we use no cookies and no analytics on devgud.com. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and your message.
- Apps: your account details (name, email, phone if you give it), the content you create in the app, technical data such as app version, device model and crash reports, and your subscription status from Google Play or the App Store.
- Payments: Google Play and the Apple App Store process every payment. We never receive or store your card, UPI or bank details.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the app, sync your data and keep your account secure.
- To answer your support requests.
- To verify subscriptions and prevent fraud.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting duties.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Who processes it for us
We share data only with processors that act on our instructions:
- Amazon Web Services (Mumbai, India) for hosting and the database.
- Google Firebase for push notifications and crash reports.
- Google Play and Apple for billing.
- Our email provider, to send and receive emails.
5. Storage and retention
Our servers are in India. We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase your data within 30 days. We keep only the records the law requires us to keep, such as tax invoices. Backups are deleted automatically after 30 days.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and you can withdraw your consent, at any time. Every app has an in-app "Delete account" option. You can also email us and we will act within 30 days. For BookVanity, see bookvanity.com/legal/delete-account.
7. Children
Our apps are for adults running a business or a housing society. They are not directed at children under 18.
8. Security
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to production systems is limited and logged. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it here and show the new effective date. We will notify you in the app before any important change takes effect.
